Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. The agreement

These terms govern your use of Receipt to Excel ("the service"), operated by an independent developer based in Shanghai, China. By using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

You upload a photo of a receipt; a vision model reads it and returns a table you can edit and export as CSV, as tab-separated values for pasting into a spreadsheet, or as an .xlsx workbook.

Machine reading is probabilistic. The output can contain errors, including wrong characters, quantities or totals. Always review the table before using it for accounting, tax, reimbursement or any financial decision. The service is a drafting tool, not an accountant and not a bookkeeping system of record.

3. Free tier

Five receipt scans per day per visitor, without an account. We may change the limit, and we may rate-limit or block automated use that is clearly not a person scanning receipts.

4. Pro licence

5. Payments, taxes and receipts

Payments are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), which acts as the merchant of record. That means Creem sells the licence to you in its own name, handles sales tax and VAT, issues the invoice and supplies the licence key by email. Card details are entered on Creem's checkout and never reach our servers.

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude tax: Creem adds the sales tax or VAT applicable to your billing address at checkout, so the amount you pay may be slightly higher than the listed price. Creem's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase itself and are provided to you on the checkout page before you pay.

6. Refunds

Covered by the Refund Policy: 14 days, no questions asked.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". It depends on third parties (hosting, a model provider, the payment provider) and may be unavailable during outages or maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by acting on output you did not verify. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Trademarks

Excel and Microsoft are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Google Sheets is a trademark of Google LLC. This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either company; the names are used only to describe what the exports are compatible with.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
